App description: This game is business simulation games, you are in control of a transport company, and can compete against rival companies to make as much profit as possible by transporting passengers and various goods by road, rail, sea and air.

To start building a transport empire, the player must construct transport routes, consisting of stations near industries or towns, and in the case of trains or road vehicles, near physical routes. One transport route can utilize several different forms of transport, e.g. truckshiptrain. The players company and the individual stations each have ratings that depend largely on their efficiency at moving goods from one stations to the other. A station with high ratings may attract more goods.

It's not a port. It's an actual iOS implementation of Open Transport Tycoon Deluxe and is likely in violation of their terms of use. It's the real deal and will likely be pulled soon.

Edit: It even allows the downloading of content from their site!

And the grass is blue...

I'm going to try downloading different graphic assets via the app to see if I can get back to the default set.

Other than that, it looks identical to the original OTTD that briefly appeared on the app store a few years ago.

Interesting... But game's working properly? I mean, it's the same game there was on PC years ago? And where's the deal, if this game is soon to be pulled off from Appstore? You pay for it, download/install on your ipad and then no more way to restore from backup, am I right?

Excuse me for my many questions, I'm really curious about this...

Once it's backed up to iTunes, you can reinstall whenever you like.

The OTTD website has a QuickStart guide.

Yes, the buttons are too small, the interface is designed for a mouse and it's incredibly complex...

Still, it's Transport Tycoon on the iPad!
