i took 2 months to make the game from scratch. The first month i built the logic behind the game, and did a lot of mini-game/module testing. The rest is spent on polishing, making sure the pixels stayed in good sight.
the reason i chose the black and white theme is because i had a recurring dream about being trapped in a barren mountain range. I spent some time documenting the dreams, and really couldn't shake it off. At the same time, I really like playing physics games, so I found that if i merged both things together, i'd get something fun and mysterious like Emma's Dream.
as for adopting in-app purchases, my mantra is to never be evil. Anyone can complete all 90 levels without purchasing anything. But if you want to use the special abilities, then feel free to support indie game development.
