This looks pretty good. Will probably buy it once I'm off 3G.

Normally, I'd buy this hot off the presses, but I've already spent $35 into the first few days into the month, so I'm a bit hesitant to jump in head first despite the tempting introductory price point. Anyone want to TOFTT and give impressions for those of us on the fence?

I enjoy the game quite a bit. Haven't played too much, but my first impressions are positive.

It's a bit like a more realistic version of Great Little War Game. Though, I suppose that much is fairly obvious. There are a few bugs, but I don't regret the purchase by any means.

Hi Platyrrhine,

I'm one of the developers at Hunted Cow (though I didn't work on this game). Thanks for the positive feedback, please feel free to drop an email to bugs@huntedcow.com to tell us about the bugs, and we'll make sure the relevant guys get to know about it.

The bugs are cosmetic; in some of the descriptions of units, OS Lion's auto-correct seems to have changed (c) and (r) to the copyright and reserved symbols. It doesn't take away from the game, just makes it look a bit unprofessional. There are some others, but I can't figure out how I caused them.

I finished the two included campaign missions and was a bit disappointed. The first one is really a tutorial, so with your initial purchase you'll only get one true campaign. All in all, it's a pretty standard TBS game. The environments are cool, though I think they could've been a bit better explained. If the Civil War is something you find interesting and you enjoy TBS, then this game is probably a good bet for you.
