I kinda like it. While the iPhone Version was blurred as hell the HD Version is what as crispy as you would expect it to be. Besides E.R.A currently one of the Best Tower Defense Games for iOS.

I'm a bit miffed to see IAP in this version of the game. Even with that I'm still gladly gonna buy this version and the extras with it. I'd much rather play A++ game like Fieldeunners 2, then have sifting through the endless garbage in the app store trying to find something that compares. I hope this hits #1 on iPad Charts, they really do deserve it

Edit: There are no IAP in this app whatsoever

Personally, I am a huge fan of the FR franchise, but I will not purchase the iPad version of FR2. I'll keep my $8, and use it to support 2-3 emerging indie developers that support and foster the user/community experience and put the customer first. This is a poor decision by Subatomic, IMO.

Price aside, Its a Great game.

IMO, fieldrunners is still a great TD game, and i support the dev by buying both version FR1 & now FR2. this and KR still sitting on my best TD game spot on my iPad. not making this universal is just a lil bit down, but i dont care, as long as they can deliver good gameplay, and yes they did it again.
