Love the idea, just needs a bit of polish. Needs an undo, if you accidentally hit the wrong order, you're stuck. End of AI's turn could be clearer. Better tutorial, more in depth rules on failed charges and such.

I so want to love this game - a nice miniature like wargame on the iPad. Graphics are nice, but there are some real problems. The control scheme is very poor. Tapping on a unit brings up a list of commands in ios menu format. it is jarring and and non-touch screen friendly system. Why hold on a unit and swipe in the direction to move then release, or have icons that appear on the unit to select actions, tap on your unit then tap on the enemy and icons show charge, shoot etc ... Plus no sound, not even a click to show you have selected a unit? It is also not clear what the terrain does.
I am sorry to say but at the moment this looks like it is a beta, a promising beta, but unfinished. I really hope this is updated and the control scheme is overhauled. With those changes this could be a great game. Last edited by Mystical knave; 12-04-2012 at 04:53 AM.. Reason: Typo fixes |
