I heard about this on AppSpy and it just barely came out! It looks awesome! Metroid/Castlevania type gameplay apparently! Awesome! What do you guys think of it? I am downloading it now!

I just tried it and it is pretty fun so far! I am playing on the iPad at 2X size but even at normal size it looks really cool. Challenging so far, but I am learning more and more how to play it.

Great stuff thanks. Didnt realise this was out. Downloading now as well Hope it's the game they suggest it could be. Might be the 'Castlevania' game I've been looking for!

Am I the only one who is finding these controls hard to play with? Also I am finding that even on easy this one is hard.

I'm using the tri stick which I find is fine. Love the graphics, might appear slow movement but that to me is Castlevania speed.

I was stuck on a screen with elevators which I found annoying as I thought I could make the elevators up and down myself. I'll play more later. Tons of potential I think. It's like a true old NES style Castlevania game to me

Okay, where did this come from? Looks great, like a lost Amiga classic.

Played for a while. Looks nice. Controls ok, a bit slow. Then I ran out of continues. You only get three. If you run out you have to start the whole game again. Really annoying for a game like this that takes some time to explore. Should just have save points to restart from. I hope they change this in an update or I don't think I'll keep playing.

This is actually a pretty nice game. The controls are solid for the most part, though I do wish that the fire button was a bit more responsive. Other than that, my only real issues with the game relate to its technical side. The game isn't widescreen and the graphics aren't retina, which makes
The game feel slightly outdated. In addition, the first time I played there was no music, but it was there any time after
That. Finally, double tapping the control options in the menu causes
The game to crash. Every time.

The design is really slick. The enemies and puzzles are deceptively challenging, and every weapon, even the weak ones, are useful. I am a little worried when you say that this will only be a prologue however. There was a similar game to
This that was released a while back called Grokion, which consisted of just one episode. The episode never came and the game was stuck on a cliffhanger. I really hope the same doesn't happen to Vergence.

To the poster above. You have to find a save spot to recharge your continues. They're rather rare. I don't
Think I even found the first one until about an hour in.
