TA Forums Game of the Week (Feb 13)

With respect to EchoSeven (temporarily out) here goes...

The first part is nomination where every member can vote up to 5 games to be included in the poll. 10 games with the most nominations will then be added to the poll on Sunday night. Poll will remain open until next Wednesday and whichever game has the max votes, will be the GOTW.

Please note:

1) Developers cannot vote for their own games. You are free to ask TA forum posters in your game release thread to vote for your game... but please don't post multiple messages about it.
2) This voting is for TA members - no outsiders allowed. If you have to ask someone to create a new account to vote, you're doing it wrong.

Notice of this poll will be given in the threads of all nominated games.

Additional games that spring up in the next few days will be added to the OP. Feel free to help out and list games that haven't been added yet.

My time's been split between Hackycat and Puzzle Restorer, but the latter gets the vote.

Both games are excellent examples of using theme and presentation to make a simple concept work really well, even if the game mechanics aren't bringing much/anything new to the table.

I know there's some decent games this week, but was spending money on a few Android games. Even then, honestly the only one that really appealed to me (besides the new Kemco RPG), would have been Rock Runners which won't play on my 3GS (and apparently won't even play on iPod Touch 4 or 5 for that matter).

So, I'll sit this week out.

Redneck Revenge received one nomination and was barely included; as OP I will look into any way I can void 0 post recently registered users from the polling based on forum feedback.

Does this community think it's acceptable to disqualify 0 post recently user votes when that constitutes the majority of title support (or even the title altogether)?

We support you in all your decisions, keep up the good work. It's never easy being a leader, try being the President of the Dead Trigger Defense Squad and you will know what I mean....

I am sure Echoseven will be happy to see some help when he needs a little break from it. Looking great so far this week.

Based on feedback in this GOTW discussion, and here, I recommend that Redneck Revenge be disqualified from this poll due to suspected developer interference, contrary to the original post rules, as the majority of it's tally consists of 0 post recently created accounts voting (sorry DustCloud13).

Also, it should be noted that Rock Blocker and Rock Runners have insignificant instances of developers voting for their own game (1 vote each) that are not likely to influence outcome and that Rock Runners developer asked his vote be removed.

...and I would like to heartily welcome back EchoSeven from his vacation this week.

I actually liked the game and voted for it, but it appears that mine was the only legitimate vote.
