If I jailbreak will I lose all my game data?

If I jailbreak will I lose all my game data? Because if I backup before that then restore then jailbreak and then finnaly put every thing will I losedata?

If you use Redsn0w you won't even have to restore it again.

I'm pretty sure any jailbreak method you use won't lose your data because you can just reload everything on.

True - your game data will be preserved if you have backed up...

On that point, how is the best way to back everything up in case I stuff up the jailbreaking process? I've downloaded redsn0w - I've just got to stop being a woose and give it a go but I'd rather now loose all my games/contacts/notes etc (and as a newbie, if I've missed a link on backing up, please let me know!)

In iTunes, right-click your iPod/iPhone on the left of the window and select back up. tis all

Thanks - but will that go to C:\Program Files\iTunes or C:\Program Files\iPod (and I'm guessing the restore option will pick it up from that locatoin even if "jailbroken"?)

if you dont back your data up, you'll lose your game data.

Just used redsn0w to jailbreak my 3.0.1 iPhone 3G and 3.0 iPod Touch 2nd Gen today, and neither of them lost any data, or even any settings.
