I'm shocked, even a little disappointed, that there's no active topic for this...
Who here is buying it? Did any of you go to a midnight launch to pick it up? |

No, it's not subscription based. But it's the best RTS there is, and hardcore fans like myself have been waiting for the sequel for 12 years... even though I'm only 16
although I did play my first game of StarCraft when I was 8.

StarCraft 2 is a strategy gamers dream, there is a huge online community and amazing leaderboard system with many different leagues which will always keep you busy as you try and get as high as you can (I知 still stuck in the Bronze). Learning the ins and outs of the game can be a long process but as you do you値l see how you値l start to win more and more often and make great leaps in your battles. If you play through the single player first though then you really will understand the StarCraft 2 universe as the campaign is very long and offers so much.
