Ever looked up at the night sky and wished you were up there, exploring the billions and billions of stars? Have you wondered how amazingly cool it would be to meet and greet life forms other than your fellow carbon-based man, and is it true what they say, that happiness is a warm particle vortex cannon?

If you've answered yes to any of the above then Weird Worlds: Return to Infinite Space is for you!

Weird Worlds takes you from down and out starship captain to an intergalactic hero known the length and breadth of multiple galaxies! Set in a randomly generated universe of endless possibilities, Weird Worlds lets you explore new worlds, meet exotic aliens, discover black holes, witness the deaths of stars, encounter drifting space hulks that promise untold riches or untimely death, and much, much more!

Although quick to play (each game lasts up to 30 minutes), Weird Worlds boasts a deep, feature-rich system that ensures each session is as fresh as the first play. Start by choosing one of 3 ships to explore the universe with. Each ship is completely customizable through the acquisition of new components, either via trade or encounters. The majority of the game takes place turn-based style on the gorgeously rendered star map (always newly generated each game), and uses a simple one-touch system that even your grandmother can quickly master! In combat scenarios, choose from dozens of weapons and tactics and battle hostile aliens in real time!

Weird Worlds: Return to Infinite Space gives you countless hours of challenging gameplay, as you create your own tales of daring do and high adventure in the cold reaches of outer space. With scores of weapons, encounters, artifacts, goodies, and mysteries you'll be lured by the siren call of exploration to push yourself further and further with each session. Find out if you have what it takes to be a star-hopping galactic hero in Weird Worlds: Return to Infinite Space!

Great time waster game! Looks good too.

I do have to say that I think $2.99 will be my purchase point but it did inspire me to dig up my PC copy to play again.

Glad to hear you're a fan of the game. We did look at whether the game could be ported to iPod and iPhone, but with the huge amounts of text in the game we didn't feel it would be fun to play as you'd spend a lot of time tapping or scrolling through the text.

I for one would be willing to deal with the large amount of text to be able to play this on an iphone/ipod touch.

Absolutely agreed - you could create a slide out panel for the ship specs.. The retina display has plenty of resolution for a game like this. Please - for the love of all that is holy - port this to iPhone/iPod. There IS NO BETTER 5 MINUTE GAME.

I know this is a pretty old question... blah blah blah... but I'm just getting into the genre, and wanted to say that I would also be VERY interested in this game on the iPhone... even with the scrolling... ladeda. I know that this genre is pretty much best experienced on a console/PC/iPad because of how big the systems are, and how much text is involved... but with this genre kind of picking up a little ATM, I think now would be a great time to make an iPhone version of the game... Maybe even start out with a lite/demo version, and see how people respond to it?

Anyway... here's hoping you guys make an iPhone game like this in the future, or bring this to the iPhone. I'm sure it's great! =o)
