Stunt Squirrels! HD - iPad
Reviewed by Gussifer Stunt Squirrels! HD on iTunes Dev site ![]() "Make the crowd roar by blasting these death-defying daredevils safely to the goal! Navigate tricky mazes and high-flying obstacles in this fun new physics puzzler from Fire Maple Games!"" Blast your brave squirrel to the goal with well placed bombs, rinse and repeat. Graphics: ![]() The game looks great. The overall look of the game is very crisp and you can't help growing very fond of the cute little squirrel. Sound: ![]() The background music is superb and I never get tired of hearing the screams of joy/sadness when you blast your squirrel around the level. Playability: ![]() I must admit that it took me a few attempts before I figured out the mechanics of the game. While holding your finger on the touchpad you place a bomb that grows/shrinks (indicating blast power) and you have to get the timing right to get the desired result. The difficulty in the main game is just right while the space bonus levels are a walk in the park because of the zero gravity. Entertainment: ![]() Very interesting concept and the variety of the levels keeps the game interesting. You have a limited number of bombs that you have to place in quick concession to navigate your squirrel to the goal while trying to "jump trough hoops", collect extra bombs and the acorn (which grants you access to the bonus level). This is a whole lot of fun and you get that "one more try" and "just one more level" feeling. The bonus levels on the other hand is a nuisance to the point that I try to avoid the golden acorn. The bonus levels are too easy and with an unlimited bomb supply and zero gravity you will always clear the level. Re-playability: ![]() Moderate. The game tends to get somewhat repetitive. Price: ![]() $2.99 might be a tad to high for some audiences. Overall: ![]() + Graphics + Soundtrack and in-game sound effects + The difficulty is just right - Bonus levels Thanks to Joe Kauffman for the promo code. |
