"iBomber is an amazing, arcade styled bombing game based in the Pacific Ocean in 1943.
You play a young bomber pilot protecting your fleet whilst searching out key enemy targets on land and sea to destroy!"
World War 2 bomber game where the goal is to complete 14 missions by dropping bombs on a large variety of targets.
The graphics in this game are great. From loading screen, main menu to the in-game graphics.
The explosions from the bombs, wake from the ships, tracers and flak looks great. Very polished throughout the game.
The soundtrack fits the World War 2 genre and the sound of the explosions and enemy fire sounds really good.
You move your crosshair by tilting the device left and right. Up and down controls your speed and you have one button for dropping bombs.
I must admit that I didn't hit jack the first couple of tries but after a while you learn to lead your target and learn to drop bombs based on the target type. It's obviously easier to slow your speed down to be more accurate but that means that you are much more vulnerable to enemy fire. The cross hair is really responsive and you have total control.
I've have had a great time playing this game and is easily my favorite at the moment.
The 14 different missions that consists of anything from talking out enemy ships, fuel dumps, escorting friendly ships, hunting down subs and much more.
There are four different types of bombs. The general purpose bomb is your standard load out but by destroying targets you get power-ups such as high explosives, triple bombs and bombs that are much very accurate. As the machine-gun fire and flak hits home you start losing health and you try to get out of the action to find less guarded targets to get health power-ups. These power-ups adds a complete new dimension to the game and keeps it interesting.
You make your way through the missions which is a lot of fun. However, there is always a reason to go back and play a mission again, either to improve your score and get more medals or just because it's a lot of fun blowing things up. As you progress through the missions you unlock more missions.
I'd like to see some more depth to the game such as different types of aircraft, ability to switch ordinance or buying upgrades.
This game should be owned be everyone!
