It might be just me but after playing this on both my touch 2nd and 3rd gen's find the framerate to be a little less than smooth as silk I hoped that with the memory demands of Rock Band (ie the way it annoyingly demands a device restart every damned time it loads up) -I had hoped that this game would be my music game of choice. Hopefully, for me anyway there will be some optimization down the road. Personally I dont give a crap about customising some jerk with another spiky haircut and tie, I just out and said it.
I guess this pretty much is the end for the dripfed Rockband updates now, at this price people will more likely jump at Guitar Hero regardless. I'm pretty sure my 3rd gen iPod can do better. I'm surprised these hotshot developers like vicarious cannot make a better game fully optimized and using less memory look at Ground Effect, Raging Thunder 2 and Land Air Sea Warfare for good cases in point. I digress.

P.S. Yes I have soft reset both devices before anyone asks.

How hard does this get on Expert? The video only showed Easy mode. If it really is as good as everyone says it is, and is more challenging than Rock Band, I'll get it.

Gotta say i'm pretty impressed thus far. Much better than I expected and way deeper, more challenging and fun than Rockband. I really like the variety in the gameplay created by the slides and "strums" - it adds a lot of challenging segments and can be much more interesting than the somewhat stagnant note charts from TTR3/RB.

Another interesting feature is that you can allow Activision to collect some details about your iTunes library so that they can inform you, presumably by push notification that your favourite artists have been added to the game. Nice idea for both parties I think. Anyway I just hope Activision keeps adding new content to the store and speeds up the downloads - its taking f***ing ages to download my song pack!
