Ugh! Why do people still insist on making such crappy little non-tactile control "buttons" on a touchscreen device?

Why not do something like this? MUCH better!

Because some people don't like tilt controls. And plus, you can't play games with tilt controls in public.

True, Esp. with iPads without looking like a Moron!

Jeez, score some blind-points there for not even looking at the attachment...
Try looking again... There was no mention of tilt-controls.
Firstly, it's all about much bigger touch "zones" rather than little buttons at the bottom (thereby also making the device easier to hold as well), and secondly, it's about reducing the number of places to touch.
