Did this have ads before or something? I don't see why "Ad free" is such a plus in a $3 game...

There is an AD-FREE and a FREE version. The latter is still being reviewed by Apple.

Anymore impressions here? It looks like a fun tower defense game. It just showed up on the Appshopper Popular iPad list. I added it to my wish list. I'll definitely check out the free version when it's approved.

It's a fairly typical TD game, other than the fact you can move your "turrets" around at will and there's a maximum number available. All are present on the screen at the beginning of the round but you need to offer them money to wake them up. The graphics are awesome, especially if you're into 2D sprites and the whole theme is pretty fun... the sound effects are fairly repetitive when it comes to moving units around, but in the few levels I played it wasn't enough to become annoying. From what I've played there only seems to be one difficulty level and ten levels, so TD vets will blow through the game fairly quickly.

I found it quite amusing to see advertisments for their other games on the main menu, especially since they felt the need to put "AD-FREE" right in the app title. Either they don't really count them as ads as it's their own products, or they weren't supposed to be there. It's not annoying or intrusive in the slightest, I just thought it was strange to see after they'd made such a point of there being no ads.

Gaah! I hate that! An ad is an ad. I don't care what it is you're trying to sell me. I may wait for the Totally Ad-Free version.

As for the free version, Apple is still reviewing it. Maybe they like it so much...
