Christ, X-Men First Class was a ****in mess. I've never seen so many plot holes or heard such awful writing since Machete, and that was all intentional.

Wow. We may have been watching different movies. I didn't see many plot holes at all. And continuity ones don't count either comic related or other movie related.

Machete was suppose to be over the top and stupid, which is why I loved it. Same with Drive Angry, but not I'm not if the beautiful monstrosity they came up with was intentional or not. |

Kam, thats what he is saying. The stupidity in Machete was intentional. And jesus christ, this is your first post since 2010. What the hell?

Oh god where do I begin? The amount of times I thought "why did he do that" was ridiculous.
•••Spoiler: 1. When Xavier is holding Shaw captive with his mind, yelling at Magneto not to kill him, when all he has to do is release Shaw and he could use his powers to stop the coin himself. 2. When Nightcrawler's father decides to use swords instead of picking people up and dropping them like he did in the beginning. 3. When Nightcrawler's dad decides to stay on the beach and watch the missiles fly at him. 4. When Magneto decides he needs to flourish around blocking bullets instead of stopping them/disassembling her gun like he did with everything else. 5. When the antidote Beast makes does the EXACT OPPOSITE of what this genius intended, also gives him blue fur and a cowardly lion's mask. 6. The absurd sudden love connection between Xavier and the CIA Agent, when they said like 2 things to each other total, all business related. I can totally accept the whole super powers thing since it's a movie and all, but when they start the movie off (which was actually pretty great in the first 20 minutes) with Xavier hitting on women with scientific terms explaining their mutant eyes or hair, and yet failing to explain ONE mutant power, which would be alright if they didn't lead you on by explaining those minor real mutations in the beginning. The worst part was by far their message they bashed into your head the entire movie. Society against mutants, society hates mutants, be true to your real self, etc etc etc etc etc. The amount of wannabe-moving-speeches-that-nobody-watching-can-relate-to moments in this movie are waaaaaay too much. How do they show that normal people hate mutants? With CIA AGENTS acting like stereotypical frat boy idiots and cracking jokes at them. And the very last one behind the door says, "No let us regular people go you can kill the mutants" is how they decide to show that normal humans are evil. I guess I hated it much more than usual because it started out pretty great, and went downhill as soon as the new recruits were introduced. Also Kamazar, I loved Machete since it was making fun of movies EXACTLY like this one. Last edited by The Bat Outta Hell; 06-10-2011 at 11:41 AM.. |

I'm just glad you weren't complaining about darwins death. I have had enough of that. Some if those are nitpicky and not plotholes. For instance azazel was class with the knife and tail so I'd rather watch that anyway.
