It is out. And it's terrible. So much slower then on BJ2 + B. And if you install it, it disables the the blitz on BJ2 and takes you to the new app instead. Thankfully, if you delete it, you get the old blitz back on BJ2. But I see absolutely no reason to play this over the original. It's nice that it is free, but if you own the original, don't download this one.

Runs fine on 4S, also there is a reason to download it and that is because it finally has retina display and its more like the pc version with the free spins.

I'm playing it on a 4S. And the game is slower then the version on BJ + B - much much slower. I don't care about spins, just gameplay - and the original has this one beat by a mile. The display on the original is just fine.

I have Bejewled 2 on my 4S, from back when I had a 2nd gen Touch, before I stepped on it and took a 1.5 year hiatus from iOS gaming...did they release 2+Blitz later? Compared to that game, this game is, as you say, slower, in the sense that gems hover for an extra second before falling. It's like BJ2 in low gravity mode.

Bingo! That's a good description. It's like they took the soul out of the game. The enjoyable part of blitz was having to move (and being able to make moves) quickly. Now it's like someone fed the game a Xanax.

I'm rather pissed about both of my games being pulled and that they expect me to buy whole new games instead of just updating them.

Yep, me too. Except I can't even play the new version of Bejeweled on my 2G.

Think I'm gonna have to clear some room for PvZ and redownload it in case they decide to start screwing with that too.
