So not even universal this time? Not even the "horribly blurry, clearly non-HD, but we'll call it universal anyway" universal?

Wouldnt say that, the other Cave shoot em ups are a similar price, theyre superb, great graphics and gameplay, well worth it. I've got all of the Cave games, very polished, excellent games
Plus sadly this might be Caves last shoot em up as they announced a few months ago they would be creating different iOS games in the near future. |

@Sanuku: Why would this be their last? Seriously hope it's not. They tweeted about it the other day that they'll continue to port their titles to the system. So hopefully all is good.
@Gabrien: Personally I'm glad it's not universal. Their other titles worked for me on the iPad as they were. No need to make these games universal -- except if they make an HD version, which is a different thing. Btw have you seen this one in motion? It won't be "the same game", believe me. |

My only concern about Daioujou is that a large part of the difficulty was down to the extremely strict routine that you had to carry out to maintain a chain.
With the movement speed now unrestricted, I don't think it's going to be so hard to chain. Survival on the other had...For those unfamiliar with the original release of this, and people that played Resurrection before this, you're in for a shock. While the scoring system is slightly less complicated, there is no bullet cancelling whatsoever and survival difficulty is completely relentless. It's pure dodging. Oh, and hypers just make that even more ridiculously hard. |

I personally don't think that directly translated so well.
Cave didn't say they were completely stopping anything, just that they were pulling back resources. After all, they just finished location testing Saidaioujou in Akihabara. They won't stop the iOS conversions.
