was fortunate enough to win a promo code, here are my thoughts:

I like the silky smooth animations and effects (on my ipad1), as well as the blocky art style. audio is good, although the main tune gets repetitive quickly, which I wouldn't mind if i could have a slider for the music volume so i could turn it down to about 40% of what it is. I only have the option to turn it on or off all together, nothing in between.

I do find myself clicking on obstacles/miscellaneous items on the game field expecting my towers to attack them for some extra cash (ala Creeps! and many others now.) I enjoy that mechanic in TD games and got so used to it that I find myself thinking there's something wrong with a TD game that doesn't have it. You can remove obstacles/elements with the shovel item, but its just not the same.

There does seem to be quite a bit of IAP stuff, which generally turns me off of any game, but so far the game's mechanics (i.e. crazy grinds/difficulty) haven't tried to force me to buy anything.

I like the coming-soon preview for Lich Defense in the game, looks quite interesting, seems to be a mix of fantasy TD & RPG.

overall a solid game, worthy of any TD fan i would say.

The game play animations and mechanics are incredibly smooth and responsive. Elf Defense is a joy to play, smooth, responsive and a different game every single time you play, which greatly adds to the playability of the game.

Certainly, if you're into TD this one's for you!!!

The only think is missing from this Great Game r Achievements in GameCenter.

Has anyone figured out the percentage increase for leveling up each tower in game?

I upgraded the amount of leaves "dropped" but the only place I notice it is the mobs that have a leaf over their head now drop the increased amount. Given how much it cost to increase this, it doesn't seem worth it.

Great review, Nissa Campbell, I agree that Elf Defense ranks up there among my current top TD games.

I'm also looking forward to their English language release for Lich Defense, it looks promising!

Darn, I thought this had GameCenter achievements. If I knew it did not have I wouldn't have bought it. I mean, come on, the achievements are already implemented there, and GameCenter is even in already, can't they just tie it up and dish out some points?

Got to admit, it really bugs me that devs do this. They obviously think achievements are important/wanted as they add 'in game' ones and they also think Game Center is important/wanted because they add that too. For some strange reason they just don't bother linking the achievements to Game Center. Really strange move IMO but lots of devs do it.

Played first stage and got 54 leaves, replayed it immediately and got 8.

Does replaying later stages give more leaves? Will replaying levels give the same amount of leaves?
