I just turned on my iPad and discovered that heaps of icons had a status of "waiting" - as if the "Update All" button had been pressed. Except, I haven't pressed that button.
Is there a way to stop this? I tapped each icon so that "waiting" turned to "paused", but how do I stop it from updating heaps of apps I don't want to update? I'll probably try deleting the paused ones from the iPad and then re-sync it.... Anyone got any better suggestions? |

Not sure if this works or not, but you could try restarting the device. I used to do this (OS 3.0) when I would accidently download an app.
If that doesn't work, you'll probably have to delete and re-sync. Edit: Nevermind, just tried it and it didn't work. Last edited by RaptorF35; 03-01-2012 at 03:16 AM.. |

Yeah, I tried that too...
Just trying a normal sync to see if that does anything. |

This was in the days of 4.0 though, so I don't know now. |

Normal sync didn't help.
Restarting with wi-fi off didn't help (but thanks for the suggestion). Looks like I'll have to blow away a bunch of games. Might wait till tomorrow in case someone posts an answer. |

Just out of curiosity, why don't you want to make the updates?
(I have several that I am not planning on updating myself, but just wondering anyway.) |

The moment I start playing an older game, I update it first. I should probably just remove them, but I always plan to come back to them! |
