It has been a long time coming 5duc29, hasn't it?
As for some specifics. I woke up a couple weeks ago and decided I was tired of making games alone, so I went on the hunt for a new programmer to help the team. By the end of the week I had found two. Both of these guys are a breath of fresh air. It already feels like I've known each of them for a long while. They're both very dedicated and have an eye on the future. Synth Racing is really going to start pushing what these machines can do. Unity has come a long way since we've used it last, and as I mentioned in a prior post, the several fold increase on the processing side is really going to allow us to spread our wings. The same artist responsible for the ships is also back. You'll probably see him posting again here soon. His handle on TA is Zero-Z. This menu demo is super early. It's literally the first thing we have to show. Part of me didn't want to post it, but that other part couldn't hold back. I wanted all of you to see how gorgeous this looks already without us even reworking any of the models or textures. There's still some shaders to be implemented, as well as heightened texture maps and poly counts. Getting that brick of text out of the way.. Let's talk about the update. The current items on the list for the update include: -Retina Display Support (iPhone 4/iPhone 4S/the new iPad) -Universal App -AirPlay (for AppleTV) -Two new game modes (Grand Prix & Time Trial) -GameCenter (leaderboards and achievements) -Reworked art -Completely rewritten code -Android versions -More?! There's no solid date as of yet, but it should be much sooner now rather than later. We're shooting for April/May. Last edited by mrWalrus; 03-13-2012 at 09:28 AM.. |
