Hello Everyone,
It's been a little less than a couple of weeks since the initial release of Infinite Flight, our Flight Simulator for iOS, and today we're proud to announce that version 1.1 has been approved. Infinite Flight for iOS is a universal app that runs on iPhone 4 & 4s, iPad 1 & 2 & 3 and iPod Touch 4th Generation. Priced at $4.99, it features multiple airplanes, realistic physics simulation, heads up display, autopilot, 2 regions with 140+ airports, configurable time & weather settings, a beginner tutorial, logbook and more. Along with the new iPad retina display support and various bug fixes, version 1.1 gives access to the full fleet of airplanes that we have in house ... for free. We initially wanted to ship those as in-app purchases but decided instead to show our commitment to our users with more free content. Here is the full list of features and fixes for this release:
Available Here: http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/infinite-flight/id471341991?mt=8 Video: http://youtu.be/YBww2pOkPec Screenshots: http://imgur.com/a/n9hXV Our blog [www.flyingdevstudio.com] and twitter feed [http://twitter.com/#!/flyingdevstudio] will contain regular updates about the progress of the simulator. Thanks for the feedback you guys on the Touch Arcade forum gave us ![]() -- Matt |

With best intentions:
You could add another fifty planes and it would be for naught until you fix the frame rate. Try the F/A 18 and see how choppy it gets with the increase in speed. The slower planes are only marginally better. It's not like you have anything approaching detailed ground scenery to push around either. This needs a rock steady 60 FPS to even be a contender. Reinstalled and deleted again after a few minutes. |

We're working on the stutters, the terrain is being re-written right now. We have to generate a lot of textures on the ground, that takes some cpu/gpu cycles. I've only been bothered by the stutters in the F/A-18 when going at high speed, other than that, they feel barely noticeable to me. But still, we're working on it, Philippe, the terrain/graphics guy of Infinite Flight has an idea on how to make those go away ![]() -- Matt |
