Going to watch this thread. Normally, this would be an impulse buy, but too many recent top down racers have promised great racing, but ultimately disappoint.

Trailer does look pretty good though…

Looks pretty slick, but not sure how many more top-down racers I can get. Besides graphics, something new needs to be added to the formula to make me pounce.

Haven't spent much time with it (snuck in a few minutes at work), but so far it plays like Mini Motor Racing but with simpler/cartoony graphics, better car physics (you can flip over, for example), and longer and more involved tracks. There are also hazards, like in Reckless Racing 1 & 2, as well as destructible environments. Drifting seems to play a big role. The default controls seem good -- not sure if there are other set ups. The game doesn't seem to skimp on the content.

I'll try to spend some more time with it and post later tonight. I'm not a huge racing fan, so some of the nuances may be lost on me. So far, though, this strikes me as pretty solid.

Anything? You mean, if it involves cars and racing?

I brought up MMR because of the overall "cute" look of the car. I wasn't referring to the over-aggressive AI or the slippery physics. Folks, you don't have to take everything so freaking literally all the time. .
