Mass "What Should I Get?" Thread 2012/2013

Can anyone recommend one?

Im really looking for a game that plays well with touch controls and is mostly skill based.

I got the idea from playing muffin knight and wishing there was a game that features just the gnome and his shotty. (Anyone else know what i mean??!)

I guess im looking for a solid platform shooter with rpg elements.

And dont tell me star marine because the controls are awful.

I can buy as many as I want, technically, but I want to know which of those are the funnest.

Bug Panic is in a different league from the others, I'd say.

Get that first for sure. Smash Cops would be my runner-up, followed by ZiGGURAT.

If you want the best side scrolling game with rpg elements you really really need to try Swordigo. It; for me, is the best side scroller i have ever played on the iphone.

Swordigo is an easy recommendation. But if you're looking for a shooter, I would check out Roboto, Gunman Clive, Clash Force, Dark Incursion, INC, and the forthcoming Project Belle (which looks awesome).

When I read sidescroller the first thing that came to mind was plunderland, excellent game! If youre looking for more of a platformer type then you could try Clash Force, its a platformer with a megaman feel.

Okay thanks. Picked up Smash Cops and I'll take another look at the lite of Bug Panic. Not gonna bother with NHL11 and NBA12 since I have what appear to be better games than them. And I'll take a better look at ziggurat; it completely went under my radar.

What are some good pick up and play games though? I've been finding myself most often playing (and enjoying) pickup and play games like Ice Rage, Super Crate Box, and others like Triple Town, Flick Soccer, MK, Flick Champs, and Action Driver. Any recommendations?
