I never had to spend that much before you trippled the prices. Hell, to go from +2 to +3 with 75% took me 50 scrolls, before all of this crap it took me always 1-4 scrolls. I had my lower level gear all in +9/+10 now I can't get +6 And I am not the only one with that.. |

I'm afraid that as long as characters are locked to a single device, this is of absolutely no interest.

So, I loaded Battlelands back up for the VIP weekend and I've come to the following conclusions:
Energy by itself doesn't really break the game. However, because of energy, there is much more attention to the way the board game plays out-- players who want to get the most out of their energy will spend a lot of time in a single map, and now things like slow dice rolling are getting frustrating. I'm also playing a lot more of the same "safe" maps instead of taking a chance on trickier, more fun maps. The fact that energy can be stored for four days gets rid of the "I have to play for 10 minutes every hour" problem other energy games have, which prevents it from being annoying. I do not have a problem with people buying more energy. This might change if other problems were fixed, but I don't see it as unbalancing so far. My biggest problem is still how you have to buy the best gear, nullifying most of the game. If I buy a set of gear, am I cheating? what is left to do after I do that? It is acceptable to have some gear purchasable, but not THE BEST gear. This becomes more of a problem because PvP is required to play the rest of the game. Since other people are buying THE BEST gear, It affects my game. I now have to decide if I'm going to auto-win the game or not. Interestingly, I find the ability to purchase the last skill slot acceptable, although I think the price is currently a bit high. I find this a good way to differentiate between paying and non-paying customers. I actually like the game quite a bit, and would like to keep playing, and would even make a few in-app purchases to support it. The ability to buy THE BEST gear is what prevents me from doing so-- It is a fundamental problem with the game. I'm still looking for a similar game to take its place, and won't completely delete Battleland until I do-- just on the off chance it improves. |

There seem to be a lot of upset players right now, and I doubt any of them will consider this a step forward. |

I think the Diamond to coin conversion need to change...
who changes 1 diamond for 100 coin? Should be 1:10000 not 1:100. That way people will be more tempted to change diamonds for coin to buy scrolls to reforge their equipment. Just look at how many people are actually converting diamonds to coin. I seriously don't think there are a lot of them. |

The devs finally pulled the gun's trigger through their heads.
Got the feeling this was leading into this, the first time they updated. I wonder, what will they do if every $$$ player decided to ask Apple for a refund. One of the 7 deadly sin, is really somethin' Oh well.... |

Imagine the game without IAP, without a way to buy the best gear in the game, where few actually obtained complete sets of elite gear. Item drops would actually mean something besides vendor trash.
I would love to see a ladder system similar to diablo2, where everyone would start out at level 1 for the new ladder season to level the playing field. After a unspecified amount of time, maybe 4 months or so, the ladder season would reset and the old ladder characters would no longer be apart of the ladder but would still be playable in a non ladder environment. It's become obvious this developer has little interest in our feedback which is a shame there was so much potential. I only hope some other developer comes along with a game similar to this but without all the relentless IAP and actually listen to the players feedback. |
