Default Which screenshot do you prefer? [Poll]

Not sure if here is the right place for this topic, if not, please remove it.

We are developing a game named "Air shooter", the concept is a Turret on top of an old bomber, shoot enemy coming around.

But we met several issues cannot find best solutions, hope we can get some feedback here to make good decision.

Option 1: Current screenshot

But some players feedback that the center area looks too narrow and give user bad feeling.

Then we have two solutions.

OPTION 2:

OPTION 3:
Another one is to keep current one but add a setting option to let user remove the turret

We agreed last one give use best feeling but no realistic.

Another issue we met is about design. We have 10 kinds of enemy fighter, and our game is endless mode, player will get experience and upgrade his rank. Some one feel we should let all fighters open for players even some they cannot meet since his weapon is not been updated to support him survive so long to see new fighter, some one (most me) want to use rank to control the kind of enemy fighter they can meet, to let upgrade rank have more value. I know we cannot say which one is good or bad, but is there any one want to feedback your prefer?

Want to hear some suggestions. Thanks a lot.

Here's my personal take:
1. I definitely like the bottom two screens a lot better. Why not have the player's option for which of the two settings? Like two different camera settings. Though if I had to pick one I'd take the middle one; both realistic and nice looking.
2. There's really a couple options here for the unlocks. One would be to have a storyline, and along the way as the player gets better, the story puts them against tougher enemies. Another would be to just simply add some of the tougher planes as unlockables (worth a lot more points) with unlock factors you can get after getting X score or X enemies killed and stuff like that; basically more incentives to play the game.
3. Personally I think "Air Shooter" is too generic a name, and really sounds a little dull.

Hope it helps!

Just added a poll, to make it easy for people to give feedback.

I totally agree with DodgerBlue016's comments above:
- I prefer option 2, but would suggest both be provided as options.
- The title 'Air Shooter' sounds dull and too generic.

Option two for sure... I kinda get afraid of heights and I feel a little scared with that last one that I'm going to fall out of the plane!

I like option two because of the action it insinuates. You have two fighters on screen but your radar is lit up with tons of other planes. Makes me feel like you are in the middle of a Dogfight!

Also, are you going to remove the debug messages at the bottom? Probably really obvious, just figured I would point it out.

Overall cool looking game! Hopefully it plays very fast like Crimson Skies, at least that is the feel I get. Nice job!

Oscar, Thanks for your feedback.
Be sure we will remove the debug message. We improved the radar to mark the enemies flight toward you by red point. And we will try to find solution for your. :-)

Definitely agreed.

Tail Gunner
Turret Commander
Bandits 12 o'clock

These are still a little generic but 100% more action packed.

Oh - and the 2nd screenshot is the best in my opinion.

Just echoing what others have said supporting #2:
Option 1 = Help, I'm locked behind bars and I have to shoot these planes that I can't see well because of the bars!

Option 3 = Help, I'm the open air and man, it sure is windy up here and I might fall out!

Option 2 = just enough hint that I'm in a cockpit without blocking the view... although a nice addition might be some way to indicate there's glass there (some slight stains where it meets the metal, some dirty parts, a glare... unless, of course there isn't actually any glass on the cockpit.

Personally, I'd vote against giving the user the option of which they would like. That's a cop-out. In the end, just make a decision (#2 of course! ) and go with it!

Good luck with your game!

Hi emdash,
Thanks for your feedback.
We have another scene with rain, we put effect of water falling down the glass on left and right side. But we didn't put anything there on other scenes. We will consider if we can put something there.

Glad my input was in some fashion useful. I've tried in two different browsers to get your latest image to load and I can't see it... Hope it's only me, but I can't comment on it atm. Sounds like a great way to make it feel like you're in a glass cockpit, though!
