Looks nice, but does not play so well. Strange mechanics with a slider for movement. Fans of the Original will love it, but it hasn't ages really well.

Love it, just need iCade support please. Can make joystic movement = walk and joystic movement + button = run which more closely resembles the original.

On sale for a dollar with an update that adds 2 more control options, a map and a life system of some sort.
I like both of the new controls better. One just has two arrows, tap to walk a step or hold to run. The other, now default control is the hopefully becoming standard analog pad that appears wherever you put your thumb in the general left side zone. Due to the core gameplay the controls will still be odd to those with no nostalgia for the original, but the input is up to par with other iOS games now at least. No retina update, given the complicated 2d sprite nature of the game I didn't expect it but it would certainly be nice. |

Why does this game have lives available as IAP? Are they essentially continues? Do you have to start over again if you run out?
