Just to clarify, the person in mind has never owned a computer and can barely use the Mail app.
Thanks for all the suggestions! |

Funny story, this past Christmas my grandparents, who are in their 90's (my grandpa will be 100 this year), asked me to show them what was so special about the ipad. I figured I'd show them Angry Birds so I played a few rounds while they watched, then I handed it over and told them to try and that's when my cynical grandma muses aloud "oh, well I guess small things amuse small minds...". I came back about an hour later and they were still sitting there glued to the ipad having a great time. Admittedly, they weren't doing well, a lot of slinging the birds backwards and all but I think it really speaks to the magic of these devices we take for granted.
I would also put in a vote for spelltower and let's create, pottery, amazing games especially on the ipad. Others suggestions to consider: Quell, Zen Bound 2, Osmos, and shredder chess. |

All great simple games, with very straight forward and easy to understand mechanics. Last edited by Filing Cabinet; 01-28-2012 at 04:15 PM.. |

Cut the Rope is one of the easier puzzle games, but it requires some reflex during the later levels.
Also, Where's My Water?, Bejeweled, and Cover Orange. |
