Actually they are made to fit the Rage Comics style: made with no polish, normally on low resolution, without anti-aliasing. The simpler the better and the deeper the meaning.

Yes, the Episode and levels are based around the story of a comic. You watch it in game and then play related levels. In the Full version (http://itun.es/iLY5Zg) there are 3 episodes, packed of levels!
