What the press are saying about CreaVures, this quality puzzle platformer:

"I truly recommend this game to any gamer as its fun, original and a truly amazing experience that everyone will enjoy a huge amount." App-Score, 10/10

"...this is one of those platformers that you simply have to try." AppCroc

"Its bioluminescent world is downright magical and levels have a wide open feel..." iFanzine

"...CreaVures is another solid platformer under the Chillingo umbrella, full of puzzles, bosses, and some beautiful cut scenes." AppTudes, 4/5

Once alive with light, the forest is now almost choked by darkness. Only five little CreaVures, mystical beings possessing great bravery, can pull back the blanket of night and restore the forest to its luminescent grandeur.

FIVE FOR FIGHTING
Each of the five CreaVures Bitey, Pokey, Rolly, Zappy, and Flick - has a unique talent suited for solving special puzzles and surviving tough enemies, including including larger-than-life boss battles at the end of each chapter. Only by working together can the CreaVures restore their forest home.

HAUNTINGLY BEAUTIFUL
Bathed in fluorescent highlights, the world of CreaVures is a dreamscape made real. Tree rings glow in the gloom. Swirls of light rise from twinkling flower petals. CreaVure eyes pulse in the twilight. This is one game you cannot tear your eyes away from.

FUN AND FANTASY AWAIT
CreaVuress puzzle-filled platforming is enhanced by fantastical story that pulls you into its world and compels you to keep playing until the forest is rescued from oppressive darkness.

Well.....I just bought the Ipad3 and I thought the game looked fine.
Everything is in 3d and not drawn pixel by pixel. Most textures look great.
The spikes look jaggy and yet the textures on the body look very high res
so. My suggestion is get the game firstly for the game play and enjoy
the wonderful environments for what they are as a bonus. Trust me,
This game look nice. While playing it, I was not saying to myself,"Gee
I wish this game looked better." I was telling myself, "That looks great!

For what it's worth the game is decent and provides a decent amount of value for the price being asked. I was hoping from the screenshots when I bought in on release night that it was going to be like an iOS version of Oddworld but soon found out that it nowhere has the depth of gameplay that Oddworld provided on the PS1. It's too bad that none of the classic PS1 Oddworld games have been ported to iOS when the system can handle those easily and even with spotty controls can still be playable on these devices with touchscreen.
