Ah! Agh!

That's definitely annoying. I've actually gotten really far in Volcano, but I've been stuck on the first level because of jumping issues.

Soooooo... After taking some time off from this one, I finally decided to come back to it today, and instantly remembered how much I initially enjoyed it. Decided to start over since it's been awhile... And really just falling in love with it all over again.

Anyway... Didn't just want this one to fade into obscurity. It definitely still deserves some attention as its one of the better platformers in the AppStore. If you don't have it yet, it's one you should grab. =o)

This game also works with Joypad. Definitely a plus!

Just wish it had some more checkpoints to resume to. Fed up getting so far and having to start the level over again

Well in each stage, you get a starter life, 2 extra lives, and another at 50k. Yeah, the levels are fairly big, but you start back at the last door you came out of (unless it's from a small side-room). So having 4 lives per stage, sometimes 5 (another life at 100k, if I'm not mistaken), seems like more than enough.

It can be kind if difficult at times, but for what it is, I think the difficulty is very fitting. It definitely reminds me of when I use to sink days of my life into old-school GameBoy games.

The description is right about this being one of the most authentic retro platformers in the App Store. I anticipated this one coming out a long time, and it was so worth it. Definitely one of the best challenges for anyone who doesn't have it.

Yeah, but like Burn mentioned, it does support Joypad, so you can play on your iPad in 2X mode (it doesn't look bad at all... Great thing about retro titles in 2x mode) and use your iPod as a controller.

Also, if you don't have two devices, the controls on the iPad end up set so you can play comfortably.

k... actually took my time on stage 3, and just reached 150k... I've got 5 lives (including the 0 life... so 6) - you get an extra life every 50k points. So if you're having a hard time... slow down (there is no time limit) and collect + kill everything you can.
