Their albums Once and Wishmaster would be worth a try, then. It's high quality sympho/power/gothic mixture.

Plus, my school just got a new very strict head teacher for 3 of my 7 subjects from a RIVAL SCHOOL.

Oh I'd survive for sure! The problem is, I'd probably be mentally exhausted by then.
