Thank you for the feedback and encouragement.

The game finally has a name - Energy Storm

It is a universal app with relative touch controls and a choice of 3 ships with different fire patterns.

There are some screenshots and a short video here.

If you want to give it a whirl there is a beta available via Test Flight
