1-2 months, but only if Pod2g decides to release it rather than save the exploits for iOS 6.

Hey Dubstep. It looks like my iPhone is working fine again. I did as you said and let it charge without doing anything on it during that time. Charged it for about 3 hours though not 5-6. It works great now and has for several days without the insane battery drain and heating.

Thanks for the help I appreciate it =)

A poll on the jailbreak hacker guys web page said 64% of people want the hack now. They are blatantly impatient little kiddes! It won't be out for 2 months, and then 6.0 will be out a month later and they'll be whining they don't have that!

I have a few questions for jailbreaking... So when you jailbreak, do you loose all your 3rd party apps?
How do you update your apps that you got from cydia and do you loose your data in that app?

Saving exploits and delaying a jailbreak for some upcoming iOS update is idiotic. Why? Because it has never worked before!

"But, but, butó" But nothing! It has never worked before - end of discussion.

Apps from the appstore update and install exactly the same as they did before. You don't lose any data.

Apps or other tweaks from cydia are updated through cydia.

You shouldnt lose any data unless your device gets messed up from conflicts between tweaks or something like that. And even then you can just DFU restore...your appstore data/game saves/etc should be in your backup (regardless of whether you do it through iCloud or iTunes).

I wasn't aware that they'd tried and failed before. However, your response is a little over the top; a calm heads-up would suffice, and if I continued to argue them you could get annoyed!

To be honest I'm pretty sure if we wait and use it on iOS 6, Apple's own security team will be able to find these exploits, or others within time.. So it's always good to release asap.

Also guys get the iOS 5.1 Semi-Tethered. It's just as good as the Untethered. I don't see why you'd turn your phone off completely/reboot it anyways so It's good for me. But if you do turn it off for what ever reason, just re-run the boot on the computer called "tethered" again and your ipod's jailbroken stuff is back to normal.

Also too bad the 5.1.1 update came out today. I was curious and tempted to update so I did lol. I miss my 5.1 JB! I tried rejailbreaking it with the 5.1 semi tethered and it bricked my phone! So I put it into recovery mode and fixed it easily anyways..

So... Don't update to 5.1.1! you'll regret it!
