One of the few must-haves for the iOS in 2012 thus far.

I've read many reviews saying that this game is slow and boring...
You go around throwing seeds and watch the 'plants' grow. and sometimes go through some tunnels but thats about it...

Can someone who bought this game please verify? I don't wish to regret after wasting $3 for a 'good looking' but boring game.

Very first thing I did this morning -- got both games, actually. Been wanting to check out Bryce Manor as well. These should keep me occupied for a while.

Don't think anyone is going to be able to know for sure whether or not you'll enjoy a game, but yeah, I can see how this game would absolutely not be some folks' cup of tea. Me, on the other hand, I live for this kind of game. It actually feels like a real adventure. Whereas other games call themselves adventures but are otherwise merely a series of puzzles wrapped in a story, Waking Mars is the real deal. For me, it's a throwback to early PC adventures. You do watch plants grow, you do spend time reading research diaries, and your dude has no weapons (not for me thus far), but it is a very compelling game. If you're looking for space aliens to shoot, save your $3. No one will condemn you for not being interested in this game. If you're looking for sci-fi that focuses on the "sci," this is absolutely the best iOS game to come out this year (in my opinion).

Well, I could not resist any longer. Loved Spider, and thus I give this the benefit of any doubt I might have.
