Penny Time is a side-scrolling action game where you’ll ride the original plastic skateboard in search of points, multipliers, tricks and secrets!

I really like this one; great style and narrative, insane risk|reward, simple controls, good music, and gameplay similar to Bit.Trip Runner.

Well after playing the first couple of levels of this here's my opinion.
This has pretty much nothing to do with a skateboarding game but that's not a bad thing, it's just not advertised very well.
This is really a rhythm game (think groove coaster or mirrors edge) it has you swipe up for an ollie (white symbol on the ground) swipe forward for hippie jump (green symbol) and swipe down for a slide (yellow symbol)
But all the while these swipes do fit in with the music. I suppose think groove coaster but your watching a skater riding along tricking instead of a dot on a line.
Personally I'm really liking the art/style it's got going on, I'd say it could probably be mistaken for something adultswim would put out as its got that craziness about it.
Well overall id say it's a pretty cool game and if you like music rhythm style games you will enjoy it (I think it said something about the soundtrack being made especially for the game) but also there's enough here to enjoy just from a skateboard fan (me) point of view.
There you go if you like rhythm games, skating or any of the crazy stuff adult swim throw out id say this is worth a go. For 69p bargain.

don't think it plays so well on my 3GS. slow in the beginning. but it works after a while. and i don't like the swipe thing. it makes the game alooot, harder then what it is. if there where 2 buttons insted, the game whould be more enjoyable

Well after playing more of this during the day is it just me but I feel like its not always recognising my swipes? Not all the time just now and then.
Either way I emailed the devs to ask if they would consider adding in a buttons option in an update. Because personally i think buttons would be a much better way to play than swiping.

I really wish this was just skateboarding because I really like that part. However, it ends up being more of a match the color to the swipe game and I don't find that as fun.
