Best Way to post on TA

I've been watching the Touch Arcade forums for a little while now and I seem to notice two different types of threads, one has <1,000 views and seems to be replaced rather quickly and the other has >50,000 views and has a ton of comments and such.

So I'm just wondering what is it that these giant threads are doing right, and that the others are not doing so well?
