Didn't see this before. I had downloaded the Low-Res version of the game and have been playing that on my 2G. Is there a big difference that makes the update of the official game better (particularly on an iPod Touch 2G)?

If there's even greater improvement, I'll download it. But if it's the same, then I'll stick with the Low-Res app I have so I don't lose my progress.

Default Low-Fi Version

The low-fi version should be fine for playing through the campaign, but if you want to use game center to compete in time trials or get some of the bigger future updates you will need to switch back.

Playing through the second time will give you a chance to try for three star runs through the beginning of the game.

I bought this yesterday; the low fi and hi fi version of the games are the same app and price right? I bought whatever came up in the search when I typed "raccoon rising".

Redownloaded this today to give it a try on my 3GS after playing through about 3/4 of it on my 2G. Never got a clear answer in the thread when this went free about three weeks ago. What are the freemium implications? I noticed that you "spend" a credit to start training, but from there I got to the next level and wasn't required to spend any credits. Are they only for the mini-games? Or will they be necessary to progress in the main game?

Originally the credits were pretty much meaningless and hoping that since I paid for the original release, that that still holds true (except for the added mini-games).

OK. Played through the first world after redownloading the new "freemium" version. And sure enough, got through the first world and had only 226 credits but to play the second world I need 500.

Yes, I could grind through the first world again to get the credits I need. But I SHOULDN'T HAVE TO!!!! I PAID FOR THE GAME.

For crying out loud, I'm just tired of this crap. Obviously there isn't very many devs with brains out there. For God's sake, create a new version if you need to go freemium. Tired of developers who think it's okay to sh*t on their paying customers.

Another promising dev crossed forever off of my list. Will never buy from Romper Games again.

And clearly, they must have known this would piss off people. They haven't posted here since the game went "free".
