Ah, you've got a keen eye sir. This game is indeed influenced by Wakfu as well as Final Fantasy Tactics. Gameplay is totally different though.

I forgot all about this thread. Better late than never.
The first pic is from the very first prototype. It had to already include the piece rendering because I knew if I couldn’t get that to work the whole thing wouldn’t work. I had to leave the game very minimalist. If you have over 100 pieces and more than half are changing at anyone time, that’s a lot of motion. So distractions had to be kept to a minimum. The prototype puzzle picture was nothing more than a red box bouncing on a white back ground. There is an interesting story why the prototype was portrait. Matthew |
