Lack of originally? Well duh this is FPS series. Touch controls? Don't even know how that could be taking down the scores. Graphics? Sure it has crappy walls and car textures but other than that it's still pretty good. And it's made by studio that NEVER WORKED WITH FPS GAMES. It's not bad at all. What a graphic whore |

The Destructoid review made it sound horrible, but like someone mentioned before, it was written by Jim Sterling- pretty much a professional troll that says controversial things for page views- unless he's paid off or given gifts by the devs/publisher.
Honestly, I haven't seen any of the things he complained about in his review in gameplay videos- except for low detail on NPCs/some objects. Still, haven't seen much of the game, so what he's saying could be true. Playstation Lifestyle also released their review, and they gave it an 8.5. Really torn on this game- don't know whether I should get it or not. Might just get Gravity Rush instead. http://playstationlifestyle.net/2012...s-review-vita/ |

It's obv devs are gonna make us use touch screen I wouldn't say it's too bad touch controls, sure it could have been better but I don't think its that bad at all I don't even wanna say anymore from now, just download the demo and see the gameplay videos and decide for yourself, it's a great game. Not perfect but great first FPS Game for vita |

Oh I know that Sterling is a habitual contrarian, and I also take any review that just bitches about controls with a touch screen with a grain of salt: I'm an iOS enthusiast, just like everyone on this thread, and thus can put up with touch screen controls pretty well. I am however disappointed that the campaign seems to be so short, but I'll definitely give the demo a try.

Think I'm going to wait on Resistance or skip it all together- mainly because its story sucks, and the campaign is short. Multiplayer is fun, but I mostly play games for the story. A bad story just makes a game less enjoyable. Battlefront: Elite Squadron is a great example. Had such a horrible story that I almost didn't finish the campaign- that, and the fact that the campaign messed up the Battlefront formula.

Resistance Burning Skies on Gamesradar: 4/10
Looks like I'll be passing on this game unless the demo completely changes my mind. |

Short campaign was what I was worried about 5 to 6 hours is pretty bad especially at Vita prices, still undecided myself if I liked multiplayer things it would be different but I haven't played a good multiplayer fps since unreal tournament.
I don't trust IGN reviews much though they gave some of the best PSP games terrible ones and seemed to have a grudge against the system. Playing a wait and see at the minute hopefully some reliable sites do a review. |

Not really surprised that Resistance: Burning Skies isn't that great- I mean, look at Nihilistic's track record. Their most acclaimed game has an average of 74- and that was their first title (Vampire: The Masquerade - Redemption). Their last title (Playstation Move Heroes) has an average of 52.
