Really well suited for iPad. The ads didn't really bother me but I paid the $0.99 to support the app.

Another thing I would like to see is unlimited replay of the hints once you decide to use one on a given level. As it stands right now you only get to use it twice and that's not enough. Some of the levels take more than 60 moves to clear, i.e. "Dome" level 15. It nearly impossible to memorize that many moves when the block is double timing it showing you how to clear it. At least add a way to slow it down so we can track it easier.

Other than that it's a good, challenging game. Especially if you like to achieve the "etalon" on all levels!
Actually, the coins serve a huge purpose.. Thats why it's a freemium game! They don't give something for nothing!

Each level actually costs you 20 coins to play.. Unlocking the ads for 99c doesn't give you any coins..or any more levels then those who haven't paid.

You get a certain amount of coins when you start the game and the inevitably run out quite soon, leaving you unable to unlock any more levels unless you pay up and buy more coins.. It will cost around $7 to buy enough coins to be able to play the whole game.

If it were just a simple 99c or $1.99 unlocking fee to buy the whole game I would have bought it.

But no. Life ain't that easy..
You have to pay 20 coins for every level, and you earn 10 coins per level you complete... So yes, it doesn't get you far at all..you need to keep buying coins to finish a mildly good game.

I'd much rather spend a buck on a different game with the same gameplay, like qvoid or hippo gum, then pay $7 for this shameless money sucking game

Hello again Snozberry! I'm noticing that we tend to have the same taste in puzzles, I was there with you on Grooh, Qink, and Hippo Gum... but I wanted to point out that this is an excellent game and you should give it another chance. I've almost completed it, have only spent 99 cents once to banish the iap and still have around 240 coins to spare. You are rewarded coins by completing each level at varying degrees, once you've obtained 'etalon' or the least amount of moves you get all the coins for that level. So unless someone isn't particularly good at puzzles there is never a need to purchase coins. Just thought I'd clarify that.

Oh and if you haven't already you should try Teeny Green it's criminally underrated right now

Even though cuboid has crashed on me a number of times, I decided to help support your development (a little) by paying the .99 cents to remove ads (on 5/31/12).

I have since upgraded to ios 5.1.1 on both the ipod touch 3g and the ipad 1, and re-jailbroken unthethered. The cuboid game seems to crash less.

Before I jailbroke again, I did try out cuboid on the stock ipad and ipod, and it still crashed.

It seems to help (if it crashes) to reboot.

Since this is a universal app, it would be nice to have icloud support, so I can continue playing on the same level on both devices.

So what is the difference between this and fresh released of the paid edition? Just the advs and the coins mode or something more?

Ooooh if lord Thoth says it's true then it must be!
Haha yeah I see you around the forums on the games I love and think wow you have great tastes! I've played teeny green recently too, I'm quite enjoying it, but I hope it goes universal. My pet hate is playing games in x2 mode on iPad! Drives me bonkers but I'll do it if the game is extra amazing.

I actually was really enjoying cuboid but then my coins ran out...and I didn't want to purchase coins because I'd assumed it'd cost about $8 to unlock the full game..
when I was playing It seemed to charge me 20 coins to unlock each level (even after passing the previous one..it was like a fee to play each level sort of thing) and it'd reward me 10 coins each time I passed a level.
So inevitably I ran out of coins and I would have purchased a 99c IAP to unlock the game in an instant,But they didn't have a standard unlock, only coins, and from my experience, it seemed id have to spend alot more..
maybe I was doing something wrong.. If you buy an IAP does it take away the fee to unlock each level?
Let me know if you end up completing the game with only that initial 99c purchase..because if you do id happily buy the 99 IAP! The game was great especially toward the end of the free part..I liked how the rectangle would split into a cube. Was awesome.

Have you finished qink? I'm stuck on a level still..haven't gone back to it for a while..really hope they add more levels and actually add levels with the cool stuff like transparent papers and lighting angles, etc they could even add patterned paper to make it extra difficult! I'd love that!

just went on a rant letting you know which games I've been playing lately that you should try out since we have similar tastes in games..I'll PM it to you since it's pretty off topic

Yep, I finished all the levels and I'm seriously craving more, it's one of the best puzzles I've encountered. I did a little research and found out that qink has been around for a while and there are flash versions of it from different developers. I think it would be REALLY cool if they made puzzles for other 3d geometric shapes like octohedrons and dodecahedrons... I don't think it'll happen though

Anyways, I'm glad you're enjoying Teeny Green; some of those levels are pretty hard to 3 star. If you still need help with Qink let me know and I'll try my best to guide you!
