From the Facebook Page of Pinball Arcade.

Downloaded over 3 Millon times, what a big sucess. They didnīt tell, how many paid versions or IAP tables have been sold.
But with that many downloads plus the sold versions on the other platforms they need a kickstart project for "Twilight Zone"?
Not earned enough money, so they need another 55000$? I canīt really believe that.
Donīt get me wrong. I really love Pinball Arcade and the sucess of this project will bring us more of our beloved pinball classics.
The implication here is that after covering costs of multiplatform development, buying a table, maintaining it, digitizing it, and paying the rights to the pinball manufacturer (as in Bally, not Paramount or whoever), the typical Pinball Arcade table makes less than $55,000 profit. Now, Twilight Zone isn't your typical pinball table, but if margins are that thin, it still represents a lot of risk.

You ever see Pinball Arcade in the top 100 grossing iOS apps? I haven't. I think they kinda screwed themselves between the buggy releases and splitting their app between free and paid versions. I find it pretty plausible that they have yet to see much more than $50,000 profit per table. Hasty, unpolished releases are symptomatic of "holy crap we're running out of cash and we need revenue NOW."

I think this had an effect: http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/...e/posts/238560 They upped the rewards, or at least clarified them that if they make the $110K goal, not only would they make ST:TNG, but they would give it away to all the contributors that met the tiers that landed them free copies of TZ. Even including operator menus for $100+.

I think that's pretty pessimistic, but even if you're totally correct... I'm still more than happy to keep them afloat with my contributions because at the end of the day, I'd rather have Twilight Zone (and ST:TNG and maybe Addams Family someday) playable than not, and none of the bugs I’ve encountered change the fact that this is the best pinball emulation of real pinball tables that I have ever played, so this is the team I want to digitize my (and the world’s) favorite tables.

The trending and projections now look like ST:TNG is VERY possible, if not probable. I am very excited about that: http://www.kicktraq.com/projects/106...twilight-zone/

I think even for the non-trekkies the will find that table to be quite fun. I did. It's my #2 table after Addams. But to be fair, I never had regular access to Twilight Zone, so I probably only played it once or twice in my life which was not enough to "get it". So I'm looking forward to having that experience... finally.

ST:TNG is a fun, but frustrating game. Those outlanes are fairly brutal. You can sometimes bump the ball out of there, though, so this will be a game I'm going to have master bumping the machine in PA. In any case I hope we hit that goal.

I just downloaded the update and played a full game of Circus Voltaire on my 4S. Tried backing in and out of the table, not seeing the issue.

Have you tried the usual restart and/or redownload yet?

I tried a restart and reinstall and it still crashes. When it loads back up it starts at funhouse table instead of last table played. I did manage to launch the ball once and as soon as I hit the flipper it crashed. I reinstalled previous to update version for now.

Playing new version... I've played CV and MM, and no crashes, and no bugs so far... and it now remembers your camera/DMD settings. You can also disable the multi-ball camera. That may have been in the last release, but I don't recall seeing it.

I've had nothing but problems since the last update. First, CV would crash every time I tried to start a game (all other tables were fine). I deleted everything and reinstalled the app. Now I have no camera controlls and cannot access the pause menu during play. I am also having a lot of issues where the camera no longer tracks to the ball after certain events (if I activate voice in BoP for instance, it will zoom in and never zoom out again.

I am going to reinstall again but I am disappointed. This has been by far my favorite app, but it's unplayable for me currently.

I am on a 3GS

Edit: The second reinstall did fix all the problems I was having. Still dislike that I've now had to re-download every table many times now, but it *is* my favorite game, so I'll deal with it.

I'm a bit late for all of you that just reinstalled, but there's a way to back up your scores & goals file, which I outlined on this post at Pinball Arcade Fans:

http://pinballarcadefans.com/showthr...r-scores-goals

Hope that helps people out in the future.
