A colleague of mine jailbroke his iPhone 3GS. He was mainly curious and besides wanted to "try out" some expensive GPS apps (before buying of course...).
What he's got is an unreliable iPhone, with weirdly behaving apps, and shorter battery time. Besides, you are as unprotected as a non-iOS user, since you can install any unchecked crap on your phone... (I read somewhere that in the official Android PlayStore there are about 3000 trojans due to the lack of the app review process, while such "apps" are completely uncommon in the AppStore.) All he wants now is to somehow revert back to the normal state, which seems to be imposible. So is it really worth it? I would definitely suggest not to jailbreak your iPhone, *unless* you really have to and you know what you are doing. Just my 2 cents. ![]() Please add your story about issues after jailbreaking your iPhone. Comments are also welcome. P.s. Originally I wanted to post this in the "Why do you jailbreak" forum, but I think this is also worth a separate thread. Last edited by Carlos; 06-05-2012 at 03:32 AM.. |
