Didn't know developers actually talked to the people on here. Nice to know they're in touch. It looks and sounds like a swell game. I might give it a swirl this weekend.

This game is a lot of fun and I haven't hit an IAP barrier yet.

Great work guys! I wish you lots of success...

I'll wait until this game goes free, which it definitely will. With these kinds of idiotic IAP systems, games like these are setting themselves up to go free to play sooner than later. Or at least be free real soon, then back to pay cause the developers know they'll make money on idiots buying IAPs when it goes free for a little bit.
You definitely don't need to use IAP to get ahead in this game. The IAP to avoid completely are those coin-based systems you mentioned, but this really isn't one of those. This game definitely deserves a lot of attention. If you're looking for very good Canon Fodder game, this is the one to get for the iPhone/iPad.

If anybody here is interested in exchanging friend codes for 50.000 ingame cash, please send me your code via pm and I will send you mine right back.

Edit: Have already exchanged my code!!!

I think that the codes may only be used once, so I will take the first one and disregard the following, so that those people may trade with someone else.

Also, I have some questions about leveling your soldiers.

1. Campaign and mission modes seem to be separate entities, as far as leveling your soldiers is concerned. Is this right? Seems to be just for generating cash.

2. If I do an easy level campaign mission, it is not possible to repeat that mission on a harder difficulty setting, or am I mistaken?

Thank you for your help.

I find it amusing and curious how different people react to the various IAP models, obviously including myself.

For me, the only good IAP is the "you could do it through gameplay, or you could pony up some rwc" model. Frankly, it seems like the only truly open, honest, optional structure.

The ones that make me crazy are the added content IAPs, items only unlocked via IAP, etc. Just tell me how much you want for the "full game" already...

If I cannot do everything through gameplay, and ultimately finish the whole game without paying "extra" (again, just tell me up front how much you want for the game), I usually don't bother even dling the game, regardless of glowing feedback.

I have no problem paying ten+ dollars for a game, but paying zero, a dollar, six dollars, and then paying again, and again, and again for the "full game" makes me absolutely crazy.

In-game currency on the other hand? Meh. If I'm given a choice, I'll usually buy something after a few hours of play to let the devs know I like the game and support their future work. If I'm forced to pay extra, like for actual content? There are thousands upon thousands of other games out there...

I eat stuff like this up...

Casual RTS type gameplay... non-intrusive IAPs (that you also are not pushing into buying... unless you just don't like taking your time playing the game...) - definitely a nice title. =o)

Had another couple of rain days, so picked this up to pass some time. Very nicely done, with excellent graphics and sound. Missions are mostly search and destroy, with a couple of short survival type and escort added to mix things up a bit.

I two starred all 30 campaign missions without the slightest need or desire to use any IAP, so in my case they really are optional and would be more of a "thanks, please make more" bonus for the devs.

There are a few negatives of course. The first is due to the nature of the camera zoom/angle, in that it is much easier to attack upwards as there is more viewable area in that direction. Having to scout/attack downwards against a tank requires a fast finger on the rocket button, as it'll be targeting you long before you're able to see and shoot it. Otherwise the controls work very well IMO, and I experienced very little frustration in getting my guys to move and shoot where desired.

Sounds as mentioned are quite good overall, but they get a little repetitive, and the sound a shot enemy makes sounds like a chicken clucking more than anything. I love the graphical style and animations, and the only nit here is that the soldiers will occasionally blend together as there is no collision detection between them.

I'm assuming (hoping) there are more missions planned, because I'm pretty sure I grabbed all of the medals through the missions and am still 18 medals short of unlocking the last two training packages. And aside from the dreaded IAP there doesn't seem to be a way to get more.

Overall well worth the three bucks for a couple of days of entertainment. Definitely recommended.

IAP Rage really bugs me when it takes over a thread. And then the dev comes here and explains how the IAPs work, that they're not essential, entirely optional for impatient players, then some of you guys have the barefaced cheek to call them liars without even checking for yourselves.

Unbelievably rude.

Anyway, this looks fun, and seems to be getting a positive buzz so I've bought it. The iPad really needed a cannon fodder!
