I guess since always. I don't finish every game I play, but I guess I expect that I could. I think the typical game should be designed so that most people can finish it on normal difficulty, it might have higher difficulty levels that give more of a challenge, and it might have ways for people to opt for easier difficulty levels if they want an easier or more casual game. I can't see any possible upside to having the easiest difficulty be too hard for virtually anyone to reach most of the content, unless they shell out a bunch of money to buy the difficulty down.

I feel the same way. If a game includes different difficulties, especially an easy difficulty, then I expect to beat the game pretty easy on the easy difficulty. Leave the hard difficulty for when people want to move to the next skill level or reach for high scores. I like how games like Bug Princess actually have a good (to me) difficulty options to accomodate everyone, with the easiest difficulty being actually easy.

So far I'm at level 20, and the normal mode is actually pretty easy...I don't see what the complaining is about. Granted, hell mode gets pretty hard at the later levels, though.

I got the game, played it for a few days and then deleted it. The game has some good potential, but knowing gamevil's freemium games, they won't make it doable unless you pay out of your wallet. I got to level 26, I beat every level and difficulty including hell mode up to level 24. At level 25 I could barely beat normal mode, the enemy's "hero" was really tough and I barely beat it. I could not imagine beating hard or hell mode on that level, and the level itself wasn't hard, but their hero was freaking invincible...I was only able to kill him once. I didn't bother to try any harder levels...I could definitely see they were wanting me to pay if I wanted a fighting chance. Game was a lot of fun, but won't last you very long till you get stuck and have to pay cash.
This could totally be a definite buy for me if it were to become a nonfreemium game and were to only cost .99 to access all the content in the game. Oh well.. |
