It's all good brother

I was thinking, like each would have individual bars that would show the amount being gained, dealt. That way you can decide what move is worth doing.

Couple of more questions:

1. When playing the "Poker" mode, you only match tiles to get rid of them? (green doesn't fill health, orange doesn't give money, etc.)

2. So there are 11(?) "worlds" you play?

I have what I would think a fun alternative Survival Mode that I'll concede might bring the game a little too close to Dungeon Raid...but still would be very cool I think.

Hacker to Commander and Chief:

In this Survival Mode you would start with just 1 skill (random or always Missile Extraction) and after each opponent is defeated you get to choose from 1 of a random draw of 5 skills. If a skill you already have is rolled you get to level up that skill (perhaps the rate of already possessed skills getting rerolled will be in inverse proportion to the player's current level at that skill so that it is less likely they'll max out a skill early). Also, to keep stuff interesting, the player can only have a total of 5 skills (be they tactic or mod) at any one time. If later on you see a very cool skill and are willing to give up one of your current 5 for it, go right ahead, but any levels gained in that old skill are lost and if you decide to switch back to it later if offered again, you'll be starting over from scratch with it.

The idea of the title there is just that I think every opponent defeated in this mode should mean our character advances in title so what starts off as Newbie Hacker could eventually become Commander and Chief (not that this would make any logical sense whatsoever) in some 50 incremental stages or so.

So is this like Dungeon Raid? And what makes it different?

-How skills are handled (different and not simply handed out at random).
-How the enemies interact with you.
-Fighting a series of independent little battles.

and a lot more. While clearly inspired by Dungeon Raid, it is a LOT MORE than a mere reskin.

This game is pretty awesome. It doesn't come close to dungeon raid's RPG customization, multitude of strategies, variety of playable classes, etc. but it is universal, so I will actually play it, unlike DR, which I haven't played in... geez years now maybe? Anyway, very solid puzzler with some DR-like elements, but not a clone at all.

I've talked to a couple people with the save bug and it seems like they all have jailbroken devices.
I'm going to update the code to try and work around this problem.
If you have the save bug and would like to try this new build via test flight please send me a PM. Thanks.

@Teh_Ninja Each of the tile types give you money in the poker mode, but it's not at a 1 to 1 ratio.
•••Spoiler:  There are 5 worlds (AKA opponents) plus the tutorial and the ending.

@LordGek cool idea

Talking

I now have confirmation of save games working from 2 jailbreak users who've played a test flight build with the code fix. Will submit to the app store now. This fix will be in version 1.02

Other fixes:
-Fixed crash when selecting empty tactic/mod slots
-Music no longer plays and the end of a level if music is turned off
-Force save data to write to disk after each level so if the game doesn't shut down properly your data should be saved

Thanks for the help guys!

I just got to stage 3 and I'm getting absolutely destroyed. Anyone got any tips? Do I need to go back to grind previous levels to upgrade my tactics and mods, or is there another way to proceed? Basically I just can't damage enemy missiles enough at this level before they fire. I use tactics to get by a couple, but then I run out of cash, and usually die after two more missiles fire

Awesome, I figured that's the way it was played. Thanks for the reply.

Perhaps, most notably, there is streamlined persistant progression, thanks to active and passive abilities which can be acquired and upgraded, and that last for an infinite number of matches, unlike Dungeon Raid's new character build per match concept + unlockable races and classes.
