I for one am thoroughly enjoying this title.
I like the nice clean, smooth interface, and it;s simple enough for me to get into, with complexities developing at a good pace.
It's not highly "social reliant" (i.e. need X amount of friends to unlock X) which i love, as I dont have a lot of friends.

People easily pay 1.99 - 4.99 for a good game, but when it is released for free everyone complains about spending 1.99 on IAP? I dont get that mentality.

Either way, I haven't spent any money or found the need to. You get premium credits in game from lvling up, and from exploring nebula. This isn't "pay to win" by any means, the only thing you can buy with real money are boosters, which speed up or increase yield. You can also be patient and get the same thing over time, and increase yield through research.

The IAP in this game are for the impatient, everything can be done with out paying a dime, and you can get the premium credits through in-game activites. I have bought two boosters already using premium credits obtained by playing the game.

Before you shoot this one down, give it a chance, this is one of the highest quality freemium "space empire" simulations I have found on the app store thus far, and I know i'll be playing it a good long while.

@Tannorexic - Com2us has started doing weird stuff with freemium lately. Basically, what people are complaining about is that the Com2us model is major disadvantage that cant be overcome through grinding or pay a lot more than is customary for a full IOS game.

For example, I am loving witch wars, but to purchase a new playable witch, its either 4.99 or 9.99, and these witches give you a major advantage which cant be obtained just from grinding. If the IAP witches were .99 or 1.99, I'd buy 1, maybe more. $9.99, however, seems priced to say "screw you majority, we dont care if your at a disadvantage, we think we can squeeze literally the last cent by catering only to the comparatively wealthy."

Edit: Just saw KeKhan's post, and wanted to say I havent played this game. I am going to try it. Comp2us knows how to make quality games. All I am saying is that, in general, I think the critics of Comp2us do have a point. However, since the company does make quality games, I am all in favor of giving each "free" Comp2us title a look and judging on its merits.

💩💩💩💩 Ack! And it is as always a "pay2win" game! I prefer a monthly fee and not a bottomless pit! So I stay away as good as I can from these games!

Not true, if you read my post -
Ive been playing and its not "pay 2 win" at all.
Everything you can purchase can also be obtained by playing the game normally.
It just speeds up the process, and not by that much really. You can also earn the premium currency in-game, so you can buy the IAP just by playing.

please try the game, or at least read a little before condemning it.

I do agree with you, they have been a little bit overboard lately..witch wars is very expensive... I really just meant the games where you hit a pay wall of a couple bucks..but the games they keep making you constantly purchase more and more are questionable.
Though I hate to diss com2us because I do love so many of their titles.. It's a dog ear dog world though..and the AppStore is so competitive.. Guess there doing what they have to do to survive but it is a bit sad.
Most games can still be enjoyed to a certain extent..but usually money does have to be forked over at some point if you want to continue..

I redownloaded it and gave it a second chance
Kept playing until I was unable to collect some crystals even when it said I could it would not let me
Only thing that popped up was a chance to spend money
I'm also quite cautious of fully handing my email address over when I'm unable to see what the game is all about and whether it's worth it
I guess to some it is
Quickly deleted

I admit I agree with this completely. It's like a guilty pleasure or something - perhaps too simplistic for most people's preference, or even my own generally, but for some reason I keep picking up this game and tinkering around with it. Must be the interface design.

I do wish you could turn off the sound, however - I am surprised apps get approved that still have audio even when your phone is on silent mode. Makes playing it subtly a tricky ordeal.

I've been playing this in small bursts for a few days now, and provided you don't want to rush the whole process, you don't need to spend any money at all. I usually can't stand this genre due to the complexity, but this one has me gripped (and actually doesn't seem very complicated at all), I think there's something special in here somewhere. So to come here and see these posts just makes me think you guys are either crazy, or you just haven't played the game and are speaking out of ignorance. Not very professional!

Default Great Game

I love this game and have played it for about a week with nothing but smooth sailing all the way through with not one IAP. I'm at level 29 with 56 crystals that I don't even need to spend.

Same here. I'm level 31 with 118 Crystals, and I've already spent a ton of them, without a cent dropped in IAP. You get Crystals for leveling, some for missions, and occasionally when exploring the "Mystery Nebula".

I just wish there was some sort of overall leaderboards, or maybe I've missed it?

Edit: btw exploring is always good with spare AP, since it scales with your level. I just got a reward of 134,400 gold for one.
