It's an amazing song, that's true. It doesn't beat Exit Strategy of a Wrecking Ball for me, though. :>
Well I don't have the experience with power or prog so that's probably how I could tell that they sound great

I probably wouldn't mind more albums like that one .

Maybe...

Which one do you mean? The Circus Maximus or the DSO?

You sure like giving me work. >.<

Finding melodic progmetal is easier. How about these guys? Vocals need some time to get used to.

Nothing exists that can be called very similar to DSO as far as I know. Some random avant-stuff that shares some features:

Also check out the two other albums by DSO. They're pretty good too.

The third song is especially nice. I didn't have time to listen to them intently so I'll return to the first 2 later .

Good plan! Never thought that piece of weirdness would be the one you instantly like, though. >.<

Haven't gotten the time to listen to the full album of that 3rd song yet .

However, I have found the time to listen to FangorN - Where the Tales Live On. Top tier folk metal, makes you wonder why none of the more prominent bands are pumping out quality music of this caliber.

Too bad.

I guess I'll have to listen to that. Good folk metal is really hard to find.

Souls Of Diotima – What Remains Of The Day (prog gothic metal).
Pretty good imo. Soft sections are melodic enough to stay enjoyable (even for me ). Give it a listen.

Alright stuff, but I'd say that they have too much chugging for my taste. :>

Pretty enjoyable powermetal:
