Watching the video... and I'm more than a little annoyed at the IAP on this one. Powerups must be bought with coins. Levels must be bought with coins.

Eeeh, I think I'll skip this one. Theres another Centipede clone on the app store (hummingz EVO) where it has a more feel to the original and theres no IAP or power ups to purchase.

I've bought this as i'm an addict for old skool games revamped. Its frustrating with the IAP's, the game itself plays quite well, wish it was relative touch though, its not too bad, you drag the 'gnome' just below with your finger.

Problem is its Centipede. Games like this i love for 5 minutes of nostalgia but after a few minutes of Pacman/Centipede/Space Invaders that normally does me. Its not a game i'll play for hours on end.

Atari have a great rich back catalogue, wish they would do more and forget the frickin annoying IAP's which seems to plague so many games nowadays.

I just wanted to chime in and say that everything (levels, weapons and upgrades) are unlocking the more I play and level up my experience. I was with you guys in that I was disappointed about the grinding to get coins but that seems completely optional here. I haven't used my earned coins at all yet, am at level 7 and have all the weapons, 2 upgrades and 2 levels unlocked all through playing the game, NOT using coins. So far so good!

Dang, so little love for this program, doesn't seem like it's selling well, I thought I would come here to find out about the game, but nada.

Hmmmmm... Well I guess I'll take one for the gipper and buy it and try to post some comments up here. It looks cool in the itunes description, and is getting 5 star reviews. But almost no activity here. Strange...

Centipede is such is such a classic game, I hope Atari did a good job on it.

Will post about. It tomorrow.

When an apps 99c i think its laughable people want to wait a few weeks to save a buck !

Completely agree, 0.99$ it's a gift considering the average of the latest titles
from other companies like Square or Taito or...

This was definitely my game of the week. I've gone back to it so much recently, have pretty much upgraded everything and have more coins than I know what to do with. GREAT update from the original and it's a shame it's not getting more attention.

Thanks for bumping this thread, i bought this when it came out and played it a fair bit but got a bit bored. BUT after reading some of your replies i need to get back into it and play much more i think.

As a kid i loved the original and still like getting the nostaglic rush if i play it again on the Atari app. This remake isnt bad at all, was put off by IAP's but sounds like theyre very generous with the money you get from playing.

Would love this if it was iCade compatible (might have to try later, you never know !)
