OK update submitted and should be out this thurs/fri
As its mainly for urgent fixes we tried to get it out sooner but did squeeze some extra features in there too. I realized next day that I forgot Sumos very good comment about wingmen moving too erratically, that will get into the next bigger update. Heres a list of what we covered:

Crash/memory issues.
Banner removed (those that have banner IAP package get a coin magnet)
Settings Page - Drag sensitivity, switching the button position
Skybreaker more HP and a tad harder
Cloning Station got the biggest revamp
Molten Furnace shortened at the end and tweaked in middle
You can use two of the same pet, (two spinning kojis are cool!)

Just added a new video on Page 1 of this thread showing 8 of the toon characters so you can check their shots and specials - will add one for the remaining pets when I got time

Edit real fast: I just added the pets to the front page

Hey, thanks alot for following up on my suggestion, I like the Daisy character, she looks so cool! Will try to purchase her via the inapps after the next update comes.

Have to say, I've had a blast playing your game over the past couple of days. For a small file size (less than 40k), I am really impressed. It rivals the best shmups on ios, and many of them go for over ten dollars.

The gameplay is crisp, the sounds very cool, and the thrill factor from the bosses is great! And the inapps don't interfere with the basic gameplay in the game. In fact, it makes getting the money icons so much funner to grab in the game.

Good job on the game, and thanks for being a cool developer and listening to our input here on Touch Arcade. It is really nice that so many developers use this forum to get feedback and make their games even better. I've been able to talk to many of the developers on my favorite ios games here, and a lot of my feedback has been implemented, which is great.

I sure hope you can make a vertical shmup or a dual stick shooter with this cartoony theme in the future. If you could somehow brand your characters like sonic for example, it could lead to more advertising or recognition in the future.

Good luck in your game, look forward to your next update. Just did a review on itunes, gave it 5 stars, guess it'll post tomorrow, it reads:

Best small file size shmup ever on Ios!!! This game has great gameplay with great graphics, sound, and huge bosses. Very highly recommend this shooter! It is a must buy for sure!

Thanks for the video. Great game. I've been stuck on the second to last stage for the past few days and I just keep trying. The darn boss keeps killing me, not to mention its hard to get through the level with enough life. one of these days I'll beat it.

Can't wait for the update!
After hours of labor, I finally beat the game.
Co-Op is supposed to come in 1.2, and I'm very excited for that. Played Co-Op on the PC earlier and loved it. One of the best games and devs I've seen in a while.
I do hope there are more maps in the future, and I thought I'd throw some ideas out there: A city map, an arctic map, a space map, an underground/mine map, etc.
They're just ideas, and luckily they'res still lots of replay value because the arena, which was a smart move for the devs.
Awesome job on the game, guys! Keep it up!

Default Most fun and addicting iPad game thus far

This is really a fun game to play, especially using the co-op feature. Just a few comments:

People have complained about the difficulty of level 7. Agreed that it's one of the hardest levels in the game, but when you play that level in Hard mode, its difficulty increases by orders of magnitude. Been playing with my 4-year old son and we beat it in Normal mode and we're still working to get through the last 4 stages in Hard mode. We honestly had to level up both Ben and the multi-directional character to max and use all kinds of pets to get this far.

** has anyone unlocked another hero other than the two defaults without grinding days or weeks? The cost of opening up other characters is staggering!

Love this game.

Mooff games, is there anyway to make this game bluetooth multiplayer so I can play with a friend using my ipad and iphone? This would be a great game to have this feature.

The update has been a slight nightmare, first it took 12 days to get to 'in-review' then it was rejected for lacking a 'restore' button - so that was fixed and has now been waiting for approval now for about 10 days so really hoping next week it will be out... can't describe how frustrating that wait time is.

As for multiplayer we're trying to work on an online/server based method first - haven't come around to bluetooth yet (we want to research and get in some kind of multiplayer so we can apply it to our new games as well as Toon)
